مطلع شدیم که آقای منوچهر متکی، وزیر امور خارجه جمهوری اسلامی ایران، در تاریخ یک و دو ژوئن با مقامات اتحادیه اروپا در بروکسل دیدار خواهد داشت. ما به عنوان بخشی از اپوزیسیون ایرانی، مایلیم تأکید کنیم که آقای متکی از سوی محافلی در جمهوری اسلامی ایران منصوب شده است که مسئول جنایات علیه مردم ایران در تلاش برای خاموش کردن صدای مردم اند.

ـ اعدامهای صورت گرفته و احکام اعدام صادر شده
ـ بازداشت گسترده فعالین سیاسی، دانشجویان، روزنامهنگاران و سایر شهروندان
ـ بستن روزنامهها و فیلتر کردن سایتها
ـ آواره کردن رونامهنگاران و فعالین جنبش اعتراضی
ـ سرکوب جنبش اعتراضی
ـ بیدادگاه های حکومت و صدور حکم های سنگین
ـ پیگرد بهائیان
ما اکیدا از شما می خواهیم دولت ایران را به پذیرش ناظران حقوق بشر پارلمان اروپا فرا خوانید.

As we have been informed, Mr. Manouchehr Mottaki, the Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran, is going to visit European Union officials in Brussels on June 1 and 2 2010. We, as a part of the Iranian opposition, are interested to emphasize that Mr. Mottaki is appointed by the same circles responsible for the crimes committed against the Iranian people in the effort to suppress the voice of the Iranian nation
Now that Mr. Mottaki is going to take part in talks with representatives of the EU, we call on you as international negotiation partners of the Iranian authorities to address the issue of human rights in the discussions with Mr. Mottaki. We urge you to confront Mr. Mottaki with questions about the following breaches of human rights in Iran
- The recent executions of political prisoners and death sentences against even more prisoners
- The arresting of political activists, students, journalists and other citizens
- The censuring of newspapers and filtering of Web sites
- The prosecution of journalists and protesters which has forced them to leave their country
- The brutal crackdown against the protest movement
- The arbitrary sentences in farce courts
- The suppression of the Bahaii minority
We urge you to request from the Iranian government that human rights observers of the European Parliament be allowed to visit Iran
